For the content a hotel uploads to the panel and for the panel accounts of hotel staff, the hotel is the data controller; SCT Signage processes that data on the hotel’s behalf.

• Demo request: first name, last name, phone number and work email address.
• Panel account: username, password hash, role, session and activity records.
• Screen devices: model, software version, serial number on some devices, IP address, device logs, playback records and an image of the content being shown.
• Content: the images, videos and texts a hotel uploads to show on its screens.
• Notifications: the Telegram chat ID, name and username of a person who subscribes to offline alerts.
• Web server records: IP address and browser information.

Screens do not collect data about viewers: the players use no camera, microphone or audience measurement. Our website uses no analytics or advertising cookies; the management panel uses only the cookie needed to keep you signed in.

Data is collected electronically through the website, the management panel and the player software. We process it to provide the service, manage screens remotely, diagnose faults, keep the service secure and respond to demo requests. The legal bases are the conclusion and performance of a contract (KVKK Art. 5/2-c) and our legitimate interests (Art. 5/2-f); where the GDPR applies, Art. 6(1)(b) and (f).

We do not sell data or share it for advertising. Our service providers are Hetzner (server hosting, Germany), Google (email) and Telegram (notifications). Screens load weather data directly from Open-Meteo and, when a design includes a YouTube video, the video from YouTube; these services see the device’s IP address. Because our server is in Germany, data is transferred outside Türkiye within the meaning of Article 9 of the KVKK. We disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it.

Panel accounts and content are kept until the hotel deletes them. Device logs are limited to the latest 500 entries per screen, detailed playback records to 120 days, and web server records to about two weeks. Demo requests are kept while we are in contact with you or until you ask us to delete them.

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you can ask whether your data is processed, request information about it, learn the purpose and whether it is used accordingly, learn which third parties it has been transferred to, have it corrected or deleted and have those third parties notified, object to a result against you produced solely by automated analysis, and claim compensation for damage. Where the GDPR applies, you also have the rights of access, restriction, objection and data portability.

Send requests to digital@sctsignage.com; we reply within 30 days at the latest. Requests about data a hotel is responsible for should be made to the hotel. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (kvkk.gov.tr).
